What does Easter mean?

Isn’t Church teaching just indoctrination?

No, that depends on how teaching is done, and there are good and bad ways to teach, just as there are good and bad ways to do other things.

‍

Many Catholics pass on their faith to children and share it with others in ways which are open, discussed and respectful of differences of opinion and experience.

‍

The Church teaches that faith should be shared freely and not imposed.  No one should be forced to believe or do something against their will. Faith is a gift from God, as is your conscience, and these should be respected.

‍

Catholics place great emphasis on developing and following your conscience (your sense of right and wrong) and respecting other people’s, too.
